Joele Anastasi

Joele Anastasi is an Italian actor, writer and theatre director that grew up in Sicily (1989). He founded the company "Vuccirìa Teatro" and created (acted and directed) some plays that granted him several national and international prizes. He was also part of some of the most important residency projects dedicated to young creators in the international theatre scene: Avignon Festival, Platonov Arts Festival in Russia, TransAmerique Festival in Montreal, Mediterranean Director Lab at Theatre Lliure in Barcelona, Biennale Teatro of Venice. In cinema he recently starred in "Stabat Mater" by Nazareno M. Nicoletti and in "Malanova" (working title) by Roberto Cuzzillo, both in post-production. He was also part of the short film "Chi spara per primo" by Emanuele Palamara.
